Being a Great President means fulfilling all of his roles. He is some one future leaders loook up to. He controls himself well, and presents himself in a fashionable manner. He knows what needs to be done and gets it done. He appoints peolpe that will be good for his country and uses reason and understanding. He listens to what the people want and does his best to make it happen. He is insightful and truely honest. He does the best he can to help his country reach it's fullest potential. Being a great president maens bieng many things but these are the most important to me.

Good start. Have any past presidents live up to your expectations? Which ones? Why?

umm. I feel stupid saying this but George Washington. He was offered king but knew what the roles of a king were and knew that, that's not what the people of America wanted. He was a war hero. (Not finished )

in 1775 Washington, took ill trained troops and won a war that lasted six years.

Washington longed to retire to his fields at Mount Vernon. But he soon realized that the Nation under its Articles of Confederation was not functioning well, (here he shows that he knows what the country needs to function properly) so he became a prime mover in the steps leading to the Constitutional Convention at Philadelphia in 1787(now he uses reason and understanding to help his country reach it's full potential). When the new Constitution was ratified, the Electoral College unanimously elected Washington President

I like that you added a source to your information, but try paraphrasing what it has to say. Put the information in your own words and draw your own conclusions. Your answer, however, is coming along nicely. I'm impressed.

A great president is born not made into a leader. It takes leadership, courage and responsibility to be a great president. Also great presidents must know how to negotiate with other countries. A president must also be cool, calm and collected because if he isn't then the whole nation won't be either.

Another good start. Support your opinions with historical information. Which president(s) do you consider to be great? Did they do the things you listed?

i consider JFK, George Washington, Abe lincoln and Franklin Roosevelt to be,in my opinion, great. All of these men had leadership, courage and responsibility just by being the president of the united states. And FDR showed that he was cool calm and collected just because he was president during the great depression. George Washington was great because he was the 1st and had to take 13 colonies and make them into 1 united nation. And he sort of set the standard for the presidents to come. Linclon was great for almost the same reason as Washington. Lincoln had to take a divided nation and pull them back together in what was the civil war. JFK was great because he like kehar said that he was a peoples president.

I agree with dashe, i do believe that presidents are born leaders and not made into them. Presidents also should be able to take responsiblities for their own actions and be able to lead the people into the right way. Yes presidents like JFK and Franklin D, Roosevelt were great presidents becasue they took the time to understand the people.

Keep going...support your opinions with historical information. What specifically did JFK and FDR do to make them great?

JFK was a good president because he worked to try and work out all foreign problem we had and tryed to help the country become better alies with the other countrys.
FDR was a good president because he shared his intensions with the country and didn't keep things a secret from the country.

Which foreign problems did JFK deal with during his administration? What were his actions? How do they demonstrate greatness?

Keep in mind that FDR hid the fact that he was in a wheelchair. That's a pretty big secret. Does that fact influence your opinion of him? Why or why not?

Keep going. You're doing a great job.
