How Population Density Affects Land Use

population density affects japan because of the earthquake zone. they started building heights in japan in the year 1965 for safety reasons. when they created new land they covered up wetlands which destroyedn habitats for fish and other wildlife. for farming land they had to cut terraces into hillsides.

There isnt very much flat land in japan which makes it hard for every single peson in japan to have a house. This cause whole familys to live together like grandparents,parents,and children. Japan was n ot always filled with small houses.It used to be royal land most people people lived in one story houses on farms.But in the 1950's most people left hte country side to go to school.Japanesse have found many clever ways to make the most of limited space. like the use one room for multible purposes.

The average commute time in Tokyo is an hour and a half each day. Yha Japanese have adaped to the busy hours by having underground subways that link one side of the city to the other. Their subways run more ofen. Pushers jobs are to shove as many passengers as possible into the cars before the doors close. The white gloves show who they are. Some people have their own cars. Tokyo has stricted rules about ownership of cars, you have to prove you have a place to park it. They have high rise garages that look like shoe cabbinents They have elevators to stack the cars.

Population density affects japans health, because in the actual population of japan is over 12 milloin people. one typical tokyo resident creates 3 to four pounds of trash each day. multiplied that turns into massive amounts of waste that can cause major decreses and health problems. crowded cities all over japan have similar key factors that can resort to this mass amoun tof pollution such as smoke from factories, sewage,waste, and acid rain. all these are all causes for breathing problems, diseses, and harm to enviorment.NOt just pollution harms health in japan high population density can affect people by car traffic. More accidents occur in small compact cities. The life expcetancy becomes lower.
